Who is Sadhguru

Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev is a spiritual leader, yogi, and author who has written more than 40 books. Sadhguru books have sold over 6 million copies worldwide. His teachings are rooted in the ancient science of yoga that he learned from his master Sri Kaleshwar who was an enlightened master of yoga and tantra living for decades in deep seclusion on the banks of the Ganges river. Sadhguru’s understanding of life challenges is drawn from his own personal experiences with adversity as well as those shared by millions during India’s independence movement, social upheavals, global conflicts, natural calamities and other tragedies.

Sadhguru, a yogi and visionary from India, is the author of “Karma.” His work spans over four decades, with more than 300 books published. Born in Tamil Nadu into an agricultural family with one sister and three brothers, Sadhguru spent his childhood tending cows in the village of Parappanangadi. At age 6 he was sent to live with his uncle who taught him Sanskrit and it’s associated scriptures. His guru told Sadhguru that he had completed all of the spiritual practices required by tradition at age 12 or 13 but did not have any worldly experiences so his guru asked him to go out into the world for eight years before coming back to take up asceticism again.

Sadhguru is a mystic, yogi and visionary who has had an incredible impact on the spiritual lives of many people. He has been to some of the most prominent events in our world today, including being one of the delegates at the United Nations Millennium World Peace Summit.
